Conflict Section: After reviewing the images, students will be asked several questions about the types of conflict depicted. They will also write and/or choose descriptions of the emotions they see within the images.

Using Media to Interpret Emotion:
The following images depict various conflicts captured by Detroit newspapers. they include labor, civil rights, social issues, and peace/war protests. Choose an image and write a description of the scene and of the people who are taking part in the conflict.

Certain photos will be magnified and previous descriptions can be re-written using the new perceptions brought about by the magnification.
