Facial Expressions
Our faces express our emotions. As emotions change, the facial muscles respond and create snapshots of the feelings. Following a few obvious clues to emotions that are given by facial muscles.
Strong emotions: Brow is tightened, eye lids are half-shut, mouth is stretched
Relaxed contentment: brows slightly raised, lips parted, eyes open and focused outwardly
Inner thought: eyes and head cast downward, jaws and neck muscles tightened
Joy: eyes contracted, upturned lips
Surprise: Brows raised and widened eyes
Anger:Lowered brows, thinned lips, clenched teeth and jaw
